ಕಥೆ ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಲೆನಾಡ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಕಥೆಗಾರನೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ಪ್ರೇಮ ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ತನ್ನ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಹಾದಿ ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಆ ಕಥೆಗಳ ಅಂತ್ಯ ಹೇಳುವ ಗೊಂದಲದಲ್ಲಿ "ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಬಣ್ಣಿಸೋ ಪದಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಕೊನೆಯ ಬಣ್ಣನೆ ತಿಳಿದಿಲ್ಲ" ಎಂಬ ಕೊನೆಯ ಸಾಲುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಥೆಗೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯ ನೀಡದೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
